A little thought
Let’s make a little
room for the
good ideas.
Play sample
Hold to speak. Release to write.

An illustration. Your microphone stays off.

Same thought.
Three ways
to write it.

Keep every word, tidy it up, or give it a little structure. You choose the finish.

Remove fillers and add punctuation.

Clean and Structured need Apple Intelligence enabled on your Mac.

Illustrative example
You say

“Um, let’s move the review to Friday and ask Sara to bring the mockups. Also leave time for questions.”

You write
Let’s move the review to Friday and ask Sara to bring the mockups. Also, leave time for questions.
Your meaning stays yours.

At home in your apps.

Keep your cursor where you’re writing. Dictation lands there; unsupported editors have a simple Copy fallback.

Your words, remembered.

A personal dictionary learns narrow spelling corrections. Review it, add a name, or forget a word whenever you like.

A private little library.

History and dictionary stay on your Mac. No analytics or paid API key. Turn history and correction learning off in Settings.

Meet your
new Fn key.

Download Superscribe, move it to Applications, and follow the short setup.

Before you start

What does my Mac need?

Apple silicon and macOS 27 or later. Verbatim works without Apple Intelligence. Clean and Structured need Apple Intelligence enabled and its model ready.

Which permissions will I see?

Microphone and Speech Recognition let you dictate. Accessibility enables the Fn shortcut, insertion into other apps, and learning from your edits. You grant each permission in macOS.

Can I use another shortcut?

Yes. Option–Space toggles recording, and Escape cancels it. If the Globe key also opens a macOS action, set “Press Globe key to” to “Do Nothing” in Keyboard settings.

What happens to my recordings?

Audio is never saved to disk. Up to 200 recent transcripts and your dictionary are stored locally. Turning history off removes saved transcripts. Read the privacy details.
