Your words

Superscribe keeps its history and personal dictionary on your Mac. The app includes no analytics, advertising, or third-party speech service.
Audio and Apple’s models
Audio is processed for dictation and is never written to disk by Superscribe. The app uses Apple’s native speech tools. Clean and Structured formatting use the on-device Apple Intelligence model available on your Mac.
Superscribe does not send your app content to an external service. macOS may connect to Apple to download the language and model assets needed for these features.
History and dictionary
Preferences, your dictionary, and up to 200 recent transcripts are saved locally in Superscribe’s Application Support folder, with private file permissions. Turning history off removes stored transcripts and stops saving new ones. Your dictionary remains available.
You can review, add, or forget dictionary entries in the app. Turning correction learning off stops its active observer.
Accessibility access
Accessibility enables the Fn shortcut, insertion into other apps, and learning from your edits. Correction learning observes only the field where Superscribe inserted its own dictation, for up to 90 seconds. It stops when focus changes or another dictation starts. Password and protected fields are excluded.
Superscribe does not automatically retry an unconfirmed paste. If an editor is unsupported or focus changes, the dictated text remains available to copy manually.
